Citations
The traditional way to handle citations and bibliographies in LaTeX is BibTeX, but my recommendation is to instead use the newer and more powerful Biblatex.
Among the examples in /local/doc/tex/ is an example:
references.tex– a simple LaTeX-filereferences.bib– the bib file that is usedreferences.pdf– the result
This uses the local style file cluu.

On your own computer
To use this you need the files
cluu.bbx
and
cluu.cbx
in /local/doc/tex/cluu/
